Capus AB – Talentor Sweden is seeking a Country Manager for the Nordics, based in Stockholm or Copenhagen, to lead the region’s commercial growth with full P&L ownership.
You will shape market strategy, manage tenders, key accounts, and partnerships across retail, hospitals, distributors and procurement bodies, while aligning with European and global functions. The role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution.
Location: Stockholm or Copenhagen
As Country Manager – Nordics, you will have overall responsibility for the company’s business in the Nordic markets. This is a senior and broad commercial leadership role combining strategic responsibility with a hands-on approach to developing the business.
You will take full ownership of the regional P&L and be responsible for developing business plans, budgets, forecasts and commercial strategies. An important part of the role will be to identify opportunities for growth and strengthen the company’s position across both retail and hospital/institutional channels. You will follow market developments closely and translate opportunities into commercial initiatives, new product opportunities and sustainable growth.
Tender management will be a central part of your responsibilities. You will monitor upcoming government, hospital and institutional tenders, develop tender strategies together with the European organization and ensure competitive and timely submissions. You will also personally manage relationships with strategic customers and key accounts, including retailers, hospitals, distributors, healthcare organizations and procurement bodies.
The role also includes responsibility for sales and marketing activities in the region, as well as oversight of the operational side of the business, including supply chain, logistics, distribution, inventory management and customer service. You will work closely with European and global functions to ensure product availability and reliable delivery to customers.
As the company continues to build its Nordic presence, you will also have the opportunity to shape the local organization. This includes defining the appropriate structure, recruiting and developing people as the business grows, and creating a culture characterized by commercial drive, collaboration, customer focus and high ethical standards.
You will act as the company’s senior representative in the Nordic pharmaceutical market and build relationships with customers, healthcare institutions, government authorities, tender organizations, distributors and other relevant stakeholders. At the same time, you will be an important link between the Nordic markets and the company’s European and global organization.
We are looking for an experienced commercial leader from the pharmaceutical industry with a strong understanding of the Nordic market. You may currently be working as a Country Manager, General Manager, Business Head, Commercial Director or in a similar senior commercial position.
You have experience of P&L responsibility and a proven ability to develop and execute commercial strategies. Experience from generic pharmaceuticals is particularly relevant, as is a background covering both retail and hospital or institutional channels. You should also have solid experience of tenders, key-account management and commercial negotiations.
Experience from more than one Nordic market is an advantage, and an established network within the Swedish and/or Danish healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors would be valuable. Experience of market access, reimbursement, institutional procurement, product launches or portfolio development is also relevant.
The role requires someone who is comfortable combining strategic thinking with operational involvement. You understand the commercial drivers of a pharmaceutical business, but you are equally prepared to work directly with customers, tenders, partners and internal teams when required. You are analytical and commercially minded, with a good understanding of pricing, profitability and market dynamics.
As a person, you are independent and comfortable taking ownership. You enjoy developing a business and creating structure while working within a larger international organization. Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills are important, as is the ability to work effectively across different cultures and organizational levels.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Economics or a related field is preferred. An MBA or similar business qualification is an advantage, although relevant professional experience may compensate for a different academic background. Fluency in English is required, while Swedish and/or Danish language skills are considered an advantage.
This is an opportunity to take a leading role in the continued development of an international pharmaceutical company’s Nordic business. You will be given significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence how the business develops across Sweden, Denmark and the wider Nordic market.
The position combines full commercial and financial responsibility with the opportunity to build relationships, develop the organization and shape the company’s future Nordic market presence. You will work closely with senior European leadership while having considerable autonomy in developing the local business.
You will join an established international pharmaceutical organization with a strong international presence and ambitions for continued growth in the Nordic region.
The position is based in Stockholm or Copenhagen.
