Job summary

NORMAL is seeking a Controller / Accountant to join our Finance Department in Denmark. You will be part of the FIXIT Team handling Fixed Assets and IT costs, and you will contribute to accurate cost invoicing, asset investments, and month-end closings.

You thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, work well across functions and countries, and bring hands-on experience in bookkeeping or auditing, strong Excel skills, and fluent English; Danish language is a plus.

Qualifications

• have a few years of experience in bookkeeping or with auditing
• communicate fluently in English, both in writing and orally
• strong Excel skills
• Danish language is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Recording and controlling cost invoices and fixed asset investments
• Participating in the month-end closing process
• Providing ongoing support and sparring to other departments
• Maintaining dialogue with suppliers in Denmark and abroad
• Participating in the budgeting process for the area
• Assisting with ad hoc tasks in the Finance Department

Job description

Since its launch in 2013, NORMAL has experienced rapid growth, opened almost 1,100 stores, and established a strong presence across 14 markets. To support our continued growth, we are now looking for a Controller / Accountant to join our Finance Department.

As our new colleague, you will become part of a department of 23 dedicated colleagues and play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the organization.

Responsibilities and tasks

You will become part of our FIXIT Team (Fixed Assets and IT Costs), consisting of three colleagues. As a Controller / Accountant, you will have your own areas of responsibility, while also being part of a culture where we help each other and work together to get things done.

• Recording and controlling cost invoices and fixed asset investments
• Participating in the month-end closing process
• Providing ongoing support and sparring to other departments
• Maintaining dialogue with suppliers in Denmark and abroad
• Participating in the budgeting process for the area
• And, of course, assisting with ad hoc tasks in the Finance Department

You are open-minded, positive, and enjoy working with a variety of tasks. You like creating structure and an overview, even when things move quickly.

You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while also being a team player who is happy to lend a hand when needed. You are curious, approachable, and helpful by nature, and you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where collaboration and getting things done go hand in hand – also across functions and countries.

In addition, we expect you:

• have a few years of experience in bookkeeping or with auditing
• communicate fluently in English, both in writing and orally
• have strong Excel skills

It would also be an advantage if you:

• can communicate in Danish
• have experience with Microsoft Navision / Business Central and Continia products (Document Capture and Expense Management)
