Job summary

The Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a computational postdoc to work on ribosome heterogeneity and specialized translation. You will develop computational tools to analyze nanopore sequencing data, focusing on RNA modifications, in a collaborative, international environment.

The project encompasses both wet-lab and computational approaches, including work with Thomas Hamelryck's group, and offers strong freedom to codevelop

Qualifications

  • PhD required in biomedical or natural sciences.
  • Strong foundation in bioinformatics and ML incl. deep learning.
  • Experience training models on shared HPC clusters and remote GPU servers.
  • Familiarity with large-scale experimentation, model debugging, and resource management.
  • Excellent English communication and teamwork.
  • Desirable: RNA modification prediction, protein synthesis/translation, cellular biology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop computational tools to analyse single-molecule nanopore sequencing data focusing on RNA modifications.
  • Collaborate with wet lab and ML groups to advance the project.
  • Contribute to codevelopment of the project with freedom to innovate.
  • Disseminate results through publications and presentations.
