Job summary

WPP is hiring a Data Engineer for its Open Intelligence initiative to build and maintain core data capabilities and pipelines powering our global media ecosystem.

You’ll collaborate with teams to evolve data infrastructure, leveraging Python/Go/Scala, Spark, and cloud platforms in a hybrid work model. Strong communication and a passion for data are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Scala for data wrangling.
• Experience with large-scale processing engines and data ecosystems (Spark).
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and testing best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes.
• A passion for data, technology and programming languages.
• Interest in AI coding assistants and prompt engineering to boost productivity.
