Job summary

Mangia is staffing a Seasonal Stand-Chef at the Winter Wonderland market held at Kongens Nytorv. The role involves cooking pasta and panini, prepping, serving, and selling during the market period from mid-November to late December.

You will assist with food prep, maintain high standards, keep the stands clean, and help manage daily sales targets while ensuring food safety and efficient service in a festive, international team.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team.
• Fast-paced environment; flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and ensure ingredients are ready for service.
• Prepare the food in the stands, maintaining standards and speed.
• Keep kitchen areas, food prep stations, and equipment clean and organized.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment as required.
• Refill ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials throughout the shift.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Help manage waste and maintain a clean working environment.
• Support the team during busy service periods and carry out other tasks as needed.
• Promote and sell products at the stand.
• Explain product features and prices.
• Encourage purchases through upselling and cross-selling.
• Work towards achieving daily sales targets.

About the Role

We have been invited to Winter Wonderland - the seasonal Christmas market happening in Kongens Nytorv from the 13th of November to the 20th of December to cook pasta and panini. We need extra hands to help us prepping, serving and selling during this period of time! Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food preparation and ensure ingredients are ready for service
• Prepare the food in the stands, being sure the standards are maintained and the pace is as efficient as possible
• Keep kitchen areas, food preparation stations, and equipment clean and organised
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment as required

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a seasonal outdoor environment, where applicable
• English communication skills are needed
