Job summary

kompasbank seeks a Head of Compliance and Data Protection Responsible to lead the second line and shape governance and culture for a fast-growing EU bank.

You will oversee compliance and data protection frameworks, engage with Executive Management and the Board, and ensure regulatory adherence across Danish and EU frameworks, including AML/CTF, sanctions, GDPR, DORA, MiCA, and CRR/CRD.

Qualifications

• Requires a law degree with 10+ years in financial services.
• Proven experience leading a compliance function in a regulated institution.
• Strong knowledge of Danish and EU financial regulation, AML/CTF, DORA and MiCA is a plus.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection practices in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor a compliance framework aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Lead data protection responsibilities and DPIAs, breach reporting and data subject requests.
• Shape governance and culture, oversee whistleblower processes, Remuneration Policy guidance, and risk culture training.
• Collaborate with risk management and regulators, including meetings with authorities, and oversee product governance.
