Job summary

Robotto is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to build robust software for drones and unmanned systems. You will work across components supporting operation, communication and coordination of the platform, collaborating with computer vision, autonomy and hardware engineers.

You will develop and maintain high-quality C++ software, participate in architecture decisions and ensure reliability and performance in real-world deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering production-quality C++ software.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with multi-component or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with networking, IPC, APIs or communication protocols.
• Knowledge of concurrency and performance considerations in C++.
• Experience with debugging, testing, version control and modern practices.
• Linux development experience an advantage.
• Robotics or drone domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C++ software across Robotto’s ecosystem.
• Build software supporting operation and coordination of unmanned systems.
• Ensure reliable data flows between software and hardware components.
• Develop real-time or near-real-time applications.
• Integrate software with APIs, networking, sensors and infrastructure.
• Debug complex issues across interconnected systems and identify root causes.
• Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions.
• Write maintainable, testable production code and perform code reviews.
