Job summary

Cernel in Aarhus is hiring a Backend Engineer to build the infrastructure powering AI-powered ecommerce agents. You will join a team designing platform services, data ingestion, and real-time processing to enable autonomous optimization for shops.

You will work with Golang and Python, contribute to event-driven architecture, and collaborate with product and AI teams to translate requirements into reliable, scalable systems. On-site role at our Aarhus HQ.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Exposure to or interest in event-driven architectures.
• Solid experience with Golang and Python.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, databases, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core platform services (APIs, OAuth, billing, integrations).
• Contribute to event-driven systems that handle large-scale data ingestion and processing.
• Develop integration and data ingestion APIs for seamless customer onboarding.
• Participate in architectural discussions and translate decisions into working code.
• Write tests and apply testable design patterns.
• Collaborate with Product and AI teams to translate requirements into working solutions.
