Aarhus University is seeking an Associate Professor in Register-based Psychiatric and Environmental Epidemiology to join the National Centre for Register-based Research (NCRR) at the Department of Public Health. The position is 3-year fixed-term and full-time, starting 1 January 2027, with responsibilities spanning research leadership, teaching, and collaboration across interdisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

  • PhD with a strong record of independent epidemiological research.
  • Substantial experience with population-based register research and large-scale longitudinal data.
  • Solid publication record in international journals and ability to develop research questions into studies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality register-based studies on mental health using Danish nationwide data and linked resources.
  • Lead and communicate research in national and international networks.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision at Bachelor's, Master's and PhD levels.
  • Develop NCRR and Department of Public Health's research strategy in collaboration with others.
  • Secure external research funding and manage research projects.
  • Engage in academic service and dissemination of research findings.
