Aarhus University is seeking an Associate Professor in Register-based Psychiatric and Environmental Epidemiology to join the National Centre for Register-based Research (NCRR) at the Department of Public Health. The position is 3-year fixed-term and full-time, starting 1 January 2027, with responsibilities spanning research leadership, teaching, and collaboration across interdisciplinary projects.

You will study how genetic, familial, socioeconomic, and environmental factors shape mental health

Qualifications

PhD with a strong record of independent epidemiological research.
Substantial experience with population-based register research and large-scale longitudinal data.
Solid publication record in international journals and ability to develop research questions into studies.

Responsibilities

Conduct high-quality register-based studies on mental health using Danish nationwide data and linked resources.
Lead and communicate research in national and international networks.
Contribute to teaching and supervision at Bachelor's, Master's and PhD levels.
Develop NCRR and Department of Public Health's research strategy in collaboration with others.
Secure external research funding and manage research projects.
Engage in academic service and dissemination of research findings.
