Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for a Postdoc position in the Department of Affective Disorders at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital-Psychiatry. The fixed-term, full-time role lasts 3 years, starting 1 March 2027 or as soon as possible.

The project (EpiGen-EP) investigates epidemiology and genetics of eating disorders and personality using Danish registers and iPSYCH data, with strong emphasis on international collaboration, data analysis, and dissemination of findings.

Qualifications

PhD level qualification in psychiatric epidemiology and/or psychiatric genetics, or a closely related field.
Experience and proficiency working with large datasets (e.g., Danish national registers).
Experience with data analysis and statistical modeling.
Proficiency with SAS, STATA or R.
Fluency in spoken and written English; Danish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Independently conduct high-quality research.
Some teaching and supervision in English.
Contribute to attracting external research funding.
Disseminate findings to academic, clinical and patient stakeholder groups via workshops and seminars.
Participate in the development of the research unit's working environment.
