Aarhus University invites applications for a Postdoc position in the Department of Affective Disorders at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital-Psychiatry. The fixed-term, full-time role lasts 3 years, starting 1 March 2027 or as soon as possible.

The project (EpiGen-EP) investigates epidemiology and genetics of eating disorders and personality using Danish registers and iPSYCH data, with strong emphasis on international collaboration, data analysis, and dissemination of findings.

Qualifications

  • PhD level qualification in psychiatric epidemiology and/or psychiatric genetics, or a closely related field.
  • Experience and proficiency working with large datasets (e.g., Danish national registers).
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency with SAS, STATA or R.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; Danish is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct high-quality research.
  • Some teaching and supervision in English.
  • Contribute to attracting external research funding.
  • Disseminate findings to academic, clinical and patient stakeholder groups via workshops and seminars.
  • Participate in the development of the research unit's working environment.
