Job summary

EcoFarm Solutions in the Faroe-Islands is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to lead design from concept to completion. You will create/building drawings, collaborate with clients, engineers and contractors, and oversee projects to meet budget and timeline requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture, at least two years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit. It offers full-time work, accommodation, and the chance to work in a unique and breathtaking

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to join our team in the beautiful and remote Faroe-Islands. As an Architectural Designer you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various building projects from concept to completion. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, engineers and contractors to create functional and aesthetically pleasing designs that meet budget and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing new buildings or renovating existing ones according to client specifications, building codes and safety regulations
• Creating detailed drawings, models and renderings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Conducting site visits to assess project feasibility and potential challenges
• Collaborating with engineers, contractors and other professionals to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
• Presenting design proposals to clients for approval and making necessary revisions based on their feedback
• Overseeing the construction process to ensure design specifications are met
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and timelines

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Architecture or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural design
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations and construction processes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and collaborate effectively with team members
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

This is a full-time position with a salary of $900 per month. The successful candidate will also be provided with accommodation. While this position is suitable for both men and women, preference will be given to male candidates due to the physically demanding nature of the job.
