Weibel Scientific is seeking an Antenna System Architect to lead the definition and evolution of radar antenna system architectures from concept to deployment. You will collaborate with RF, analog, digital, and mechanical teams to ensure coherent system performance and architectural integrity.
The role requires an MSc/PhD in a related field, experience in RF/microwave systems, and strong English communication.
Shape the architecture behind next-generation antenna systems, from concepts and system requirements to scalable technology platforms.
At Weibel, you will become part of a growing, technology-driven company where curiosity, innovation, and dedication are the foundation of our global success. We develop and manufacture high-performance radar systems at our in-house production facilities, enabling us to explore new solutions while maintaining uncompromising quality. Our greatest asset is our talented employees, who continuously advance our market-leading radar solutions for applications such as air surveillance and precision tracking.
We are strengthening our Antenna R&D Group and are looking for an Antenna System Architect to join us as we enter a new phase of growth.
As our new colleague, you will lead the definition and evolution of our radar antenna system architectures, setting technical direction from early concept development through verification and deployment. You will work closely with our systems engineering teams and hardware designers across RF, analog, digital, and mechanical disciplines to ensure architectural coherence and the desired system-level performance.
Your primary responsibilities include:
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the architectural foundation of Weibel's radar portfolio and drive the evolution of next-generation antenna systems.
You have experience working in an agile environment, where you work both independently and in close collaboration with your team and cross-functional stakeholders. You value continuous learning and are comfortable operating in a dynamic R&D setting with multiple parallel activities, some requiring immediate attention and others progressing through structured project plans.
Your qualifications should include:
Experience with systems engineering methodologies such as MBSE and SysML, and related tools such as Enterprise Architect, is considered an advantage. In addition, you are comfortable leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve engineering efficiency and quality.
Our team consists of more than 10 engaged colleagues whose experience ranges from a few years to more than 35 years of hands-on radar engineering expertise. The team is part of our broader cross-functional Antenna R&D Group, bringing together architects and design specialists across RF, analog, digital, and mechanical domains to deliver cutting-edge radar technology.
The application deadline is 16th of November.
Employment in this role is subject to the ability to provide a clean criminal record and to obtain the required security clearance.
We look forward to receiving your application.
