Job summary

CMC in the Greater Copenhagen Region seeks a Senior Multi-Agent AI Software Architect for a fixed-term consultant assignment. You will operate as an independent freelancer or employed through CMC.

You will establish a governed foundation for AI-assisted code, test and documentation generation using clean architecture, and decide between single-agent or multi-agent approaches while shaping the environment and strategy for scale.

Qualifications

• Experience designing AI-assisted software development solutions, including LLM integrations and agent orchestration.

Job description

CMC is looking for a Senior Multi-Agent AI Software Architect to join a client in the Greater Copenhagen Region. This is a fixed-term consultant assignment.

You will operate either as an independent freelance consultant or as an employed consultant through CMC.

Overview

The initial focus is to establish a governed, repeatable foundation for AI-assisted code, test and documentation generation using clean architecture principles. The consultant will assess whether a single-agent or multi-agent approach is appropriate, define the supporting environment and strategy, and provide recommendations that can scale beyond the pilot.

The initial engagement is expected to focus on the domain, services, abstraction and parts of the infrastructure layers, with a first phase of approximately three months. The pilot will initially avoid directly modernising or integrating legacy systems. The intention is to create a scalable platform or foundation and attach legacy components later.

Responsibilities

• Establish a governed, repeatable foundation for AI-assisted code, test and documentation generation using clean architecture principles.
• Assess whether a single-agent or multi-agent approach is appropriate and define the supporting environment and strategy.
• Focus on the domain, services, abstraction and parts of the infrastructure layers during the initial phase.
• Generate or support automated code testing and technical documentation, maintaining traceability between requirements and implementation.
• Design governed and reproducible AI processes with controlled outputs that can be validated, maintained and repeated consistently.
• Account for cybersecurity considerations in the architecture and implementation, collaborating with the client's dedicated cybersecurity specialist.
• Provide broad architectural guidance as well as practical implementation support.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to the internal engineering team on the practical and efficient use of AI tools.
• Consider LLM selection, token usage and operating costs, with a view to the long-term affordability of the solution.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and implementing AI-assisted software development solutions, particularly LLM integrations, agent orchestration, and single-agent or multi-agent architectures.
• Experience with software modernisation, production-grade software systems, and translating AI concepts into practical engineering implementations.
• Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience, including Git and GitHub Actions, with the ability to incorporate these into an AI-driven development workflow.
• Understanding of clean architecture, service and abstraction layers, software infrastructure, and scalable platform or foundation design.
• Ability to generate or support automated code testing and technical documentation, while maintaining traceability between requirements and implementation.
• Experience working with functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, coding standards, frameworks and 64-bit platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity considerations within software architecture.
• Ability to design governed and reproducible AI processes with controlled outputs.
• Commercial and financial awareness regarding LLM selection, token usage, operating costs and long-term affordability.
• Experience mentoring or transferring knowledge to engineering teams on the practical and efficient use of AI tools.
