Job summary

OnPay is seeking an AI Enabler to lead adoption and evolution of agentic AI tooling across the Payments team. You will drive the enablement of developers, own the AI toolchain, and shape the team’s delivery workflow with AI-assisted practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, collaboration with Architects and Tech Leads, and a focus on velocity, code quality, and compliance in a PCI environment. Hybrid work with cross-team collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on software development experience in web/backend systems.
Proven experience with agentic AI development tools used in production workflows.
Ability to design and implement developer experience improvements (tooling, automation, CI/CD).
Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including testing, code review, observability, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Enable the team by embedding agentic workflows across planning, development, review, QA, and production monitoring.
Own and maintain the agentic toolchain: define standards, guardrails, and best practices for AI tooling adoption.
Stay at the forefront by testing and benchmarking new agentic tools and translating findings into team actions.
Redesign delivery around agent-assisted sprints with architecture docs, AI-assisted MR review, and AI-assisted test generation.
Ensure agent-generated code in PCI DSS Level 1 environment meets compliance and governance requirements.
Spread best practices and document learnings for other team.blue groups adopting AI-native workflows.
Document tooling and workflows and maintain knowledge for PCI auditability.
