Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a Software Engineer, Advanced Process Control, to design, implement, and scale real-time control solutions for fermentation and other industrial processes. You will combine process knowledge, data, and software engineering to improve production performance, quality, and robustness across sites.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, automation, and IT teams in a hybrid work model, contributing to robust software and scalable APC concepts that drive measurable

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–7 years of software engineering, process engineering, automation, industrial IT, data engineering, or data/process optimization in production environments.
• Experience working in agile environments with iterative development and user feedback.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale advanced process control solutions for fermentation and other industrial processes.
• Translate process data into practical, data-driven control logic in collaboration with operators and process specialists.
• Deploy, standardize, and scale APC solutions across sites with cross-site reuse and daily support.
• Drive innovation and engineering excellence by developing new control concepts and scalable approaches.
