Job summary

Nt Group in Aalborg is seeking a Mechanical Designer / Design Engineer to join our Design Department. The role focuses on creating 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation for machines and trailers, collaborating with production and suppliers to implement solutions.

You will develop components in Solid Edge, maintain BOM data, and ensure accurate PDM/PLM documentation, while applying mechanical design principles and reading drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design or related field.
• Strong CAD skills with 3D and 2D modeling; Solid Edge preferred or similar CAD tools.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and descriptions.
• Basic understanding of BOM structures and PDM systems; Teamcenter experience advantageous.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2) for technical documentation and daily communication.

Job description

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer / Design Engineer to join our Design Department in Aalborg. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented engineer who wants to develop in mechanical design, work closely with production, and contribute to the implementation of technical solutions into manufacturing.

In this role, you will support the development of machines and trailers by creating 3D models, 2D drawings, technical documentation, and by cooperating with production and other supporting departments.

Responsibilities

• Designing machine and trailer components and assemblies in a CAD environment.
• Preparing and updating technical documentation, including manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, basic Bills of Materials and technical descriptions.
• Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Maintenance and suppliers on technical arrangements and implementation.
• Supporting the resolution of ongoing design and production issues under the guidance of your supervisor.
• Maintaining accurate data in PDM/PLM systems and ensuring proper document version control.
• Supporting the Design Department in turning engineering concepts into production-ready documentation.

Who we are looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in machinery, trailers, heavy industry or similar technical products will be an advantage.
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Machine Design or a related technical field.
• Good 3D/2D CAD skills; Solid Edge experience is preferred, but experience with similar CAD tools is also welcome.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and technical descriptions.
• Basic understanding of BOM structures and PDM systems; Teamcenter experience will be an advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply basic mechanical design principles.
• English at minimum B2 level, including technical documentation and daily communication.
