Title: TRAP Technician

Assists in the receipt, inspection, storage, handling, maintenance, reconstitution, accountability, and shipment of Tanks, Racks, Adapters, and Pylons (TRAP) in support of the GPMS Prepositioning Program. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement.

1. Understand and consistently observe applicable security standards during all maintenance operations in assigned site and TDY locations.
2. Take necessary actions to stabilize the situation in case of an emergency.
3. Safely operate diversified test, handling, and towing equipment.
4. Perform basic inventory standards to account for all resources.
5. Perform maintenance in accordance with technical and quality directives.
6. Maintain all equipment to maximum, serviceable standards, including corrosion control, per USAF technical data.
7. Maintain and repair fuel tank containers and equipment inside containers.
8. Fabricate and repair TRAP containers according to military specifications.
9. Use technical data and documentation per T.O.00-5-2 and 00-20 Series.
10. Prepare and configure TRAP for air, sea, and surface transportation.
11. Complete serviceability records accurately and timely.
12. Store tools, replacement parts, and operational stock.
13. Inspect and perform minor maintenance on facilities and equipment.
14. Maintain assigned vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
15. Ensure all GPMS TRAP assets are fully serviceable at the end of work orders.
16. Clean vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years’ experience operating diversified test equipment.
• Ability to understand simple instructions and technical data with zero errors.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations.
• May need to operate material handling equipment.
• Valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.

The preferred candidate will have a valid work & residency permit to work in Germany or be a national of the EU/EEA. Completion of formal electronic and mechanical training is preferred. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be an EU resident and/or authorized to work in Germany.

Works in maintenance shop or warehouse, may work outdoors for extended periods, exposed to extreme noise, and required to wear PPE. Physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50 lbs. and handling equipment.
