• Plan, recommend, reserve and execute investigations of workers' compensation claims greater than $100,000


• Provide valuation, disposition and settlement of high exposure claims


• Assess indemnity and expense exposure of assigned claims


• Manage the most complex workers' compensation claims


• Plan, organize, establish priorities, anticipate problems, determine realistic completion dates and communicate claim status


• Set appropriate and timely reserves


• Maintain knowledge of claim loss cost containment initiatives and use them consistently with company practices and procedures


• Identify and initiate mitigation, subrogation, salvage and other recovery opportunities


• Maintain a heightened level of interaction with agents, brokers and policyholders


• Maintain a proactive role in litigation management


• Demonstrate professionalism and establish credibility through customer interactions to enhance The Hartford's reputation


• Assist with development and training of staff


• Approve and review authorities for handlers in TL absence


• Improve metrics by tracking trends or developing training

Requirements

• Candidates near an office location must work in-office 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday
