Are you looking to use your knowledge and experience to help drive innovation and growth in the wine and spirits market?

The Wine & Spirits Market Manager is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and growth in the wine and spirits market segments within our Food and Beverage business. The Market Manager identifies target applications within this market and works with Product Management to define the recommended Pall products, positioning, training, and sales tools. Additionally, the Market Manager should understand customer needs and requirements and continually analyze trends to identify new opportunities for profitable growth.

This position is part of the Food & Beverage Business Unit and will be located on-site at a Pall facility in Germany.

With a broad range of products from crossflow filtration for clarification to membrane filters for microbial stabilization, Pall has a long history of supplying technologies and expertise to the wine and spirits industry to enable the production of shelf-stable, high-quality products. Pall’s goal is to continue supporting the industry with new products and technologies that align with consumer trends and industry requirements, while optimizing production, operating costs, and sustainability.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  1. Use understanding of market trends and the competitive situation to identify target applications, positioning, and new business opportunities for profitable growth in the wine and spirits segments, contributing to marketing and strategic plans.
  2. Gain customer insight through research and voice of customer to provide input on new product specifications and application requirements, and help identify beta test sites to ensure development of the right products.
  3. Work with product managers and central marketing to build market-specific positioning, promotion, sales tools, and training to increase visibility and ensure successful product launches and revenue achievement.
  4. Act as a liaison across regions and functions to facilitate information sharing and success stories for strategic and key accounts.
  5. Present at key customer and market-specific conferences to build visibility and generate leads within the wine and spirits segments.
The essential requirements of the job include:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Oenology, Engineering, or Food Science.

At least 3-5 years of experience in wine/food and beverage technology sales and marketing or experience working at a wine and spirits manufacturer, with the ability to develop and implement marketing strategies.

Strong communication skills for advocating Pall’s portfolio with customers, sales, marketing peers, distributors, and management, including leading presentations and trainings.

Knowledge of general business and Pall’s products and services relevant to the Wine and Spirits market.

Ability to travel up to 50%, with minimal notice, including international travel. Must hold a valid driver’s license and passport.

Preferred additional experience includes:
  • Experience with wine and spirits and/or filtration systems.
  • Proficiency in languages such as German, French, or Spanish.
