EU Sustainability Engineering team is looking for a Sr Electrical Engineer to scale programs within the wider Amazon electrification transformation. To achieve this, we need driven people dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the roadmap for sustainable energy technologies. Core initiatives include the electrification of last mile and middle mile fleet and the implementation of technologies to maximize energy efficiency of our buildings. This requires expanding one of the largest private charging networks in the world and defining innovative electrical designs to enable smart grid strategies.

Your day could include engaging with all levels of the organization and multiple stakeholder groups to drive decisions impacting Amazon's transportation network. You would collaborate with partners from Operations, Process Improvement, Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors to design and deploy new equipment and processes for AMZL, ATS, and CF (all miles).
EU Sustainability Engineering is responsible for defining and improving electrical standards for the EV charging network and smart grid solutions. We focus on reliability and cost-efficiency, recognizing waste of resources as a major risk for sustainability. The scale of Amazon's last mile network necessitates close partnerships with other teams: we receive plans and financial justifications from the Global Fleet and EU Sustainability teams; leverage the skills of the Field Engineering team for installation; and gather feedback from Maintenance and Operations teams to enhance our products.
