About the Role

Werkstudent (w/m/d) Hochspannungsprüftechnik für HVDC-/SVC Hochleistungsstromrichter

Location: Germany, Bayern, Nuremberg (Remote vs. Office: Office/Site only)

Organization: Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG, Grid Technologies, Grid Solutions

Employment Type: Fixed Term / Part-time

Experience Level: Student (Not Yet Graduated)

Typical Day

Today, you will present your findings from field simulations on high-voltage structures to your team. These results help the team understand key points for upcoming high-voltage tests and how to improve test quality. Afterwards, you document the results and incorporate colleagues' ideas. In the afternoon, you coordinate with your colleagues on requirements for a new testing procedure you will help develop. This varied work allows you to regularly align with your motivated and experienced team.

How You Can Make a Difference

• Electrical simulation of test circuits
• FEM simulation of electric fields in high-voltage structures
• Support development and practical setup of testing equipment
• Automation in documentation processes

What You Bring

• Current studies in electrical engineering with a focus on high-voltage technology
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and ideally other FEM simulation environments
• Preferably, experience with high-voltage testing equipment and measurement technology
• Independent working style, creativity, and systematic problem-solving skills
