Jobbeschreibung

In order to support Advanced Projects, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Working Student within Mechanical Engineering (d/f/m)

You are a full time student, looking for a working student position? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Advanced Projects Team as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 19 hours a week!

Start: As soon as possible

Duration: 12 months

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.

Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Attractive salary and work-life balance with an 19-hour week (flexitime).

A final thesis is possible after consultation with the department.

International environment with the opportunity to network globally.

Work with modern/diversified technologies.

At Airbus, we see you as a valuable team member and you are not hired to brew coffee, instead you are in close contact with the interfaces and are part of our weekly team meetings.

Opportunity to participate in the Generation Airbus Community to expand your own network.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Manufacturing of test benches or test equipment

Collaborate with team members to design and develop test equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems

Ensure the laboratory is organized and well-maintained, including inventory management and equipment calibration

Assist with lab experiments related to advanced space technologies

Support project documentation for various topics including but not limited to:

Demisable joints for satellites

Coating for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP)

Laser treatment of parts for spacecrafts

Desired skills and qualifications

Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related discipline

Strong interest in space technologies

Practical experience as a mechanic is an advantage

Professional training (apprenticeship) as mechanic or electrician is an advantage

Basic knowledge of CAD software for design purposes

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Willings to work 100% onsite

Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic research environment

Please upload the following documents: cover letter, CV, relevant transcripts, enrolment certificate.
