We are seeking local-based freelance Welding Inspectors (IWE/EWE or similar) for ad hoc inspections at local manufacturers in Switzerland. Candidates should possess valid Welding and NDT certificates (RT film interpretation, UT, MT, VT, PT, all Level II).

Knowledge of codes: CSWIP, NDT Level 2 according to ISO standards.

Tasks:

1. Review assignment instructions for adequacy and practicality.
2. Attend pre-production and other meetings as required.
3. Liaise with clients and relevant parties to determine inspection stages and requirements.
4. Inspect drawings, designs, and specifications for piping, valves, pressure vessels, and other relevant mechanical equipment, ensuring all customer requirements and procedures are followed.
5. Visit manufacturers, suppliers, and installers to perform or witness inspections.
6. Provide timely reports of inspections performed or witnessed.
7. Ensure all inspection activities comply with work instructions and procedures.
8. Adapt and utilize new technologies within the group, such as e-reporting, remote video inspection, and Evolution systems.

Languages: Fluent in German and English, both oral and written.
