Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium im Ingenieurwesen oder einem verwandten Bereich.
• Erfahrung in der technischen Projektkoordination, idealerweise in der Schwerbearbeitung.

Could you be the full-time Warranty Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d) in Siegen we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

Our Siegen site is an international competence center for bogies. 800 colleagues develop, manufacture, test, and repair bogies for global rail traffic, ensuring stability and comfort on the tracks. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Grzegorz Lasko , the Head of Warranty&Service Engineering and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We’ll look for you to:

• Address various technical Warranty & Service topics related to bogies and drives.
• Propose and implement technical solutions for diverse problems.
• Participate in testing, including definition and measurement of acceleration, noise, and strain.
• Develop new testing methods and problem-solving techniques.
• Define test programs and specifications in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Conduct independent research on technical topics related to service issues.
• Create, test, and approve technical drawings, parts lists, and repair instructions.
• Coordinate technical activities of engineers for efficient warranty case handling.
• Monitor the 8D process to analyse problems and assure quality measures.
• Manage customer communications and document progress and outcomes related to warranty cases.

• Successfully completed higher education in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in coordinating technical projects, ideally in heavy machining.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in customer contact to ensure smooth collaboration.
• High level of accountability, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in both German and English (written and spoken); French language skills are desirable.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of additional software applications is a plus.
• Initial experience or interest in complex mechanical systems and rail vehicles.
• Advanced understanding of machine construction.
• Good understanding of the mechanics and physics with ability to analyse the reaction forces for a simple mechanical system.
