Role Overview

SAMSUNG SDS Smart Logistics (part of the SAMSUNG Group) was founded in 2012 and is one of the fastest growing logistics service providers in the world. As an innovative company, we offer our customers optimized solutions and consulting in the field of supply chain management based on our in-house platform “Cello.” SAMSUNG SDS Smart Logistics operates in 40 countries worldwide and employs more than 4,500 logistics experts.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible for a tire manufacturer at our new location in Phillipsburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Communication with the Samsung Sales office and Logistics service providers (LSP)
• Monitoring of all operations at the Philippsburg site
• Goods receipt, inventory control, goods issue, returns
• Planning and coordination of warehouse stock, storage capacity, inventory management, and regular stocktaking
• Personnel responsibility and scheduling of warehouse administrators, shift supervisors, and industrial staff
• Creating and providing appropriate KPI reports for customers and management
• Reviewing and improving operational productivity
• Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reviews with the warehouse LSP
• Tracking logistics costs and focusing on operational improvement opportunities
• Analysis and process improvements
• Training, leading, and motivating the operations team
• Reporting on operational status to SDS management
• Weekly and monthly operational reviews
• Ensuring compliance with legal regulations, guidelines, and quality standards

Requirements

• Completed vocational training (e.g., warehouse logistics specialist, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk) – ideally with further qualification as a Logistics craftsman/woman – and/or a Degree in Logistics
• Several years of experience in the operational management of a warehouse, ideally in tire logistics
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple requests
• Good SAP skills
• Results-oriented mindset
• Very good German and English skills
