The future position holder should represent the field of power engineering in the department with a system-oriented perspective in research and teaching and develop the field in a future-oriented manner. The applicant is expected to have a broad technical background in power generation, transmission, and storage, and demonstrate outstanding scientific expertise in areas such as:
We seek a highly qualified individual with a strong background in these areas, based on fundamental or industrial research and with high visibility through research projects and publications. Experience in industrial environments is welcomed. The candidate should have experience in acquiring research funding independently and leading research groups or equivalent industrial projects. Active participation in research collaborations at various levels is highly desired.
Teaching duties include courses in electrical and power engineering at Bachelor's and Master's levels, covering fundamentals and advanced topics. Since some courses are in German, willingness to teach in German after an orientation period is expected. Experience with interdisciplinary and international courses and innovative teaching methods is advantageous. The candidate should be prepared to contribute to the development of the teaching program and participate in academic self-administration.
Your profile:
A completed engineering degree, a doctorate, above-average publication record, successful acquisition of third-party funding, and ongoing scientific activity post-doctorate are required. Evidence of habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements is necessary.
