About the Role

We’re looking for a Vulnerability Management Expert to join our Global Product Cybersecurity team. You will work closely with the Vulnerability Manager, CTI automation, pentesting team, and IT security. The Vulnerability Management team identifies and prioritizes threats and vulnerabilities in our Product environment, providing reports to key stakeholders. If you are passionate about Product Security and want to develop solutions to secure our enterprise across all Harman lines of business, we want to talk to you.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with the Harman global Vulnerability Management team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Analyze, rate, and confirm vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and identify new vulnerabilities, prioritizing remediation based on business impact.
  • Develop VM-related applications/scripts and ensure Software Quality Assurance.
  • Manage application and infrastructure patching tasks related to vulnerability remediation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incident response on critical vulnerabilities.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and support the vulnerability manager.

What You Need

  • BA/BS or MS Degree in a relevant field or 3-6+ years of industry experience in cybersecurity.
  • SANS GIAC certifications such as Enterprise Vulnerability Assessor, Penetration Tester, Web Application Penetration Tester, Exploit Researcher, or Advanced Penetration Tester.
  • Experience in a technical cybersecurity role within corporate, military, or law enforcement sectors.
  • Experience in IT, embedded systems, hardware testing, threat intelligence, or cybersecurity.
  • Experience in vulnerability management, incident response, and vulnerability scanning in OT/ICS, embedded, or product environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of cybersecurity standards, risks, threats, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, Ruby.
  • Understanding of software/hardware cybersecurity controls, frameworks, and terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and provide guidance.
  • Strong team influence and a culture of knowledge sharing.

Nice to Have

  • Cybersecurity experience from IT/OT and IoT/Automotive sectors.
  • GIAC or equivalent certifications.
  • Knowledge of standards like CC, FIPS, NIST.
  • Participation in conferences, CTFs, publications, blogs, or repositories.
  • Knowledge of CSIRT or PSIRT.
  • Spoken German.

Eligibility

  • Willingness to travel up to 5%, domestic and international.
  • Willing to work in Europe (location TBD).
