With over , employees and a turnover of 16.4 billion euros, we have been a market leader in automotive supply for a century. The Erlangen, Germany site focuses on Powertrain Systems. Our department is seeking a VIE Junior R&D Project Engineer for 12 months. We research, develop, and test hardware components and systems for electric powertrains in hybrid and fully electric vehicles.

You will coordinate and manage work packages within your project area, ensuring timely delivery of results to management within budget and quality standards.

You will be involved in the company's strategic direction and support the R&D management team by creating analyses, cost breakdowns, presentations, and updating process documents and instructions.

You will work closely with the Technical Project Manager and other internal stakeholders, defining work packages, monitoring progress, and ensuring the delivery of technical components according to requirements.

You will have responsibility within your project scope, fostering cooperation between project teams, clusters, and line functions.

You will assist in planning and executing the project budget and schedule.

About you

You have a degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or a related field.

Ideally, you have experience in automotive product development and related processes (ISO/TS, APQP, Automotive SPICE).

You possess knowledge of electric or hybrid drive systems.

You have managed small to complex projects, preferably in the automotive sector.

You are fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

You have strong communication skills, an international mindset, and openness to new cultures and working methods.

You are humble, attentive, positive, professional, and diplomatic.
