Job summary

Uniper seeks a Vice President Wind & Civil Engineering to lead the technical design, engineering strategy, and execution of wind energy projects in a globally active environment.

You will define and own the wind and civil engineering strategy, set standards, and manage interfaces with BoP, WTG suppliers, grid, and environmental constraints while building a high-performing, diverse team with strong leadership and collaboration across markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in leadership roles.
• At least 10 years in relevant wind/civil engineering roles.
• Strong people management and mentoring skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• International experience and cultural sensitivity.
• Business fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Define and own wind and civil engineering strategy across development, execution, and handover.
• Act as technical authority for wind and civil scopes; set engineering standards and approval requirements.
• Set goals, priorities, and ways of working for the three subordinated teams.
• Own interface management between wind, civil, electrical BoP, WTG supplier, grid, and environmental constraints.
• Drive standardization and reference designs to improve usability, scalability, and repeatability across markets.
• Build a high-performing team culture through regular feedback and performance management (development plans).
• Recruit, onboard, and retain talent; ensure effective resource planning and succession coverage for critical roles.

Your responsibilities

• Define and own the wind and civil engineering strategy across development, execution, and handover, aligned with portfolio targets (cost, schedule, quality, risk)
• Act as technical authority/design owner for wind and civil scopes; set and enforce engineering standards, design basis, and approval requirements
• Set clear goals, priorities, and ways of working for the three subordinated teams
• Own interface management between wind, civil, electrical BoP, WTG supplier, grid, and environmental/land constraints
• Drive standardization and reference designs for wind/civil scopes to improve scalability, reduce cycle time, and increase repeatability across markets Build a high-performing team culture through regular feedback and performance management (including development plans)
• Recruit, onboard, and retain talent; ensure effective resource planning and succession coverage for critical roles

Your profile

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in leadership and minimum 10 years in relevant industry functions
• Proven track record in managing people and teams
• Role-model mindset in embracing new technologies, continuously developing relevant capabilities, and enabling teams to innovate, learn, and adapt
• Creative and open-minded individual with a good sense of humor
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven track record of international work experience and appreciation of cultural differences
• Business fluency in English
