ABOUT THE ROLE

The VP M&A is responsible for managing all acquisitions and divestitures within Essity globally. You will develop and drive the M&A strategy, collaborating closely with Business Units and reporting to the CFO. The role involves overseeing a company with EUR 13 billion in revenue and approximately 36,000 employees.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Propose M&A strategies based on thorough business evaluations
• Lead the M&A process, including negotiations
• Align M&A activities with corporate strategy through collaboration with senior management
• Oversee acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring standards and risk management
• Prepare key figures and reports for stakeholders and the Board
• Develop and lead the M&A team
• Provide expert advice to other functions and management
• Identify opportunities and implement strategic initiatives

WHO YOU ARE

• Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, and modelling
• Ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and make decisions
• Experience in developing and executing M&A strategies
• Skills in target evaluation and stakeholder negotiation
• Legal knowledge related to M&A, contracts, and compliance
• Proactive, business-minded, and strategic thinker
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through due diligence and integration
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas
• Relationship-building skills internally and externally
• Fluent in English

Position based in Stockholm, Sweden, or major Essity locations across Europe.
