Role Overview
As Vice President for the Government & Defence vertical, you will hold full strategic responsibility for building, scaling, and positioning this business unit as a market leader. You will define the growth strategy, identify key opportunities, and establish long-term partnerships with government entities and security-sensitive organizations. Your mission is to drive revenue growth, secure major contracts, and position our company as a trusted partner for complex, high-security logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute the growth strategy for the Government & Defence vertical.
- Market Development : Identify and capture new business opportunities within the public and defence sectors.
- Bid Management : Oversee and lead complex tender processes (RFPs, RFQs) for government and defence projects.
- Solution Design : Collaborate with operational teams to create tailored logistics solutions for high-security environments.
- Partnership Building : Establish and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, defence organizations, and key stakeholders.
- P&L Responsibility : Drive revenue and profitability targets for the vertical.
- Global Collaboration : Work closely with international teams to leverage global capabilities and ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
- Market Intelligence : Conduct market and competitive analysis to continuously refine the business strategy.
Your Profile
- Extensive experience in Logistics within Government & Defence or similarly regulated industries.
- Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes and decision-making structures.
- Proven track record in winning and managing large-scale, complex projects , ideally with international exposure.
- Strong strategic mindset combined with a hunter mentality and execution excellence.
- Expertise in logistics processes , particularly in air and ocean freight.
- Fluent in English ; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
