Overview

Lynker Corporation, in strategic partnership with FISH as the FLOAT JV, is seeking a Visual Communications and Information Systems Specialist to support internal and external design, publishing, and archive management for NOAA’s West Coast Region Communications and External Affairs Branch. Employment in this role is contingent upon FLOAT being awarded the contract by NOAA.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Design digital and print materials: infographics, fact sheets, glossy reports, signage, posters, brochures, etc.
  • Maintain photo archives with searchable metadata and coordinate with national databases.
  • Support internal and external web content via Google Sites and Drupal.
  • Liaise with Government Publishing Office and manage print production jobs.
  • Maintain organized design file libraries and project records.
  • Support content layout per NOAA branding, Section 508, and formatting standards.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and communications coordination workshops.
  • Provide support for internal communication templates and tools.
  • Maintain team equipment checkout and asset tracking systems.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, visual communication, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting science or government communications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva.
  • Experience creating 508-compliant products.
  • Experience managing large digital photo and design archives.
  • Knowledge of Drupal and Google Sites.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with marine resource conservation and NOAA communication strategies.
  • Experience coordinating federal print production and visual storytelling for scientific audiences.
