The Project and Bid Engineering Manager Junior
- is responsible for the end-to-end technical development of subscopes of a train project (up to validation & certification) in accordance with the project strategy, fulfilling both contractual technical requirements and defined engineering & project QCD objectives, and leveraging existing Alstom platforms by working hand in hand with the Senior Project Engineering Manager or Bid Technical Manager.
- takes care to design and implement a technical definition which fully meets Project Performances (Q), Product cost (C), and scheduling (during development phase) commitments for a project-specific subscope.
- will manage cross-functionally project technical activities and stakeholders at train and SubSystem levels. He / she will endorse design authority and related decisions or trade-offs.
- can be responsible to lead taskforces or work streams for unplanned activities cross-functionally and within Engineering.
- can be responsible to manage ENG bid activities in alignment with the Product Platform.
- can be responsible to drive and prepare technical opportunities within running projects up to variation orders from our customers.
- can be responsible to drive innovation activities within the project and align them with the specific product needs (and work streams of other product platforms).
Key Accountabilities for Project and Bid Engineering Manager Junior:
- generate the visibility on performance of the assigned work package, work streams, processes, or taskforces.
- allocate technical and QCD objectives leveraging existing Alstom platforms and improvement of actual methodologies.
- Coordination and monitoring of cross-functional objectives, activities, and deliverables, Development Planning, and Configuration Management for subscopes.
- Support on managing technical risks thanks to mitigation plans including moderating separate task forces on specific technical issues.
- Generating reporting inputs on project technical and QCD status.
