Job Description: Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a VIE - Germany - Software Developer (d/f/m). If you are a highly motivated graduate eager to learn about the role of a Software Developer (d/f/m), apply now! Support us in department designation as a Volunteer for International Experience. The project involves software used for planning the construction and infrastructure of mobile facilities, such as mobile hospitals with medical infrastructure, for crisis and disaster operations. This software utilizes Microsoft Visio for generating 2D and 3D views and plans.

  • Location: Friedrichshafen
  • Start: as soon as possible
  • Duration: 12 months

Definition VIE: The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program, sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, offers young professionals paid work experience abroad in technical or business roles. Applicants should be EU citizens aged 18-28, including Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. Interested candidates should register at www.civiweb.com before their 28th birthday. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Software development using Microsoft .NET and Unity engine.
  • Database migration from MS Access to a suitable key-value database, including database model analysis and implementation of maintenance functions.

Second Task - Project IMS

The project involves software to ensure product readiness post-delivery, supporting collaboration among industrial partners and customers worldwide, even in areas with limited infrastructure. Tasks include web application development, front-end optimization, and integration of Domino applications in mobile environments.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • University degree in computer science, media design, or similar.
  • Programming experience in VB.Net, C#, or SQL.
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio, Unity, 3D modeling software, and object-oriented programming.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with data migration.
  • Enthusiasm for technology, creativity, and team collaboration.
  • Language skills: English; German is a plus.
