We are looking for a VIE Engineering Support (f/m/d) based at our offices in Berlin, Germany, for 24 months.

Your mission:

Reporting to the Domain Leader Certification & Authorization, you will support project and tender teams in activities such as:

Documentation:

• Supporting Alstom documentation activities, including technical document translation and template preparation

System Design:

• Analyzing specifications
• Presenting customer needs to the competence center in Belgium
• Defining required evolutions of Alstom products
• Presenting Alstom solutions to customers
• Formalizing results in technical specifications
• Monitoring failures during operation

Validation, Certification, and Authorization:

• Defining test plans, organizing test sessions, and drafting test reports
• Analyzing homologation requirements
• Reviewing assessments

Administration:

Supporting the Project and Engineering team with:

• Administrative and technical support to the Engineering Director
• Managing schedules, communications, and follow-up tasks
• Introducing creative ideas and innovative solutions to enhance team productivity and project outcomes
• Conducting research on rail signaling solutions, software, and technical tools, and making well-informed recommendations
• Coordinating meetings and communicating with vendors and stakeholders

Your profile:

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field with good industrial understanding and first experience in an international industrial environment
• Interest in railway products; good communication skills, diplomacy, tenacity, and open-mindedness
• Autonomy, team spirit, organizational skills, and business acumen
• Proficiency in English and German; French is a plus
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment
• Customer and service-oriented mindset

Details of the Volunteers for International Experience (VIE) program:

• Open to EU citizens aged 18-28 who have fulfilled military service obligations
• Assignments are abroad, lasting 6 to 24 months, renewable once
• Compensation is non-taxable and based on the cost of living index
• International social protection is provided; 2.5 days of holiday per month
