Bayer Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Vice President Strategy to shape the division's strategic agenda and drive AI-enabled value across functions, products and customers. You will translate strategy into actionable priorities and oversee cross-functional initiatives with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in strategy, transformation, consulting, innovation, digital, data, AI, or related roles.
• Experience shaping enterprise or divisional strategy into practical implementation plans with measurable outcomes.
• Strong understanding of AI and emerging technologies, with business value translation.
• Proven track record leading large, cross-functional initiatives in international environments.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or highly regulated industries preferred.
• Exceptional executive presence, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.

• You identify opportunities, risks, and trade-offs and facilitate timely decisions across the division.
• You ensure linkage between divisional strategy, operating model, portfolio, resource allocation, and execution plans.
• You own and drive high-priority cross-functional strategic initiatives from definition to measurable impact.
• You partner with functional leaders to remove barriers, manage interdependencies, monitor performance, and lead corrective actions.
• You support the division AI agenda, ensuring adoption and value realization in business processes.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You shape and continuously evolve the long-term strategy for Bayer Pharmaceuticals, reflecting external trends, customer needs, portfolio priorities, competitive dynamics, and enterprise ambitions
• You lead strategic planning processes, translating strategic choices into clear priorities, roadmaps, milestones, governance, and performance measures
• You develop actionable strategic narratives and recommendations to enable senior leadership decision-making
• You identify strategic opportunities, risks, and trade-offs, and facilitate timely decisions across the division
• You ensure coherent linkage between divisional strategy, operating model, portfolio choices, resource allocation, and execution plans (end-to-end thinking)
• You own and drive high-priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives from definition through implementation and measurable impact
• You partner with functional leaders to remove barriers, manage interdependencies, monitor performance, and lead corrective actions where needed
• You support the division AI agenda, ensuring adoption, value realization, and responsible embedding of AI into business processes, decision-making, and customer value creation

WHO YOU ARE

• You bring significant senior leadership experience in strategy, transformation, consulting, innovation, digital, data, AI, or related business leadership roles
• You have demonstrated experience shaping enterprise or divisional strategy and converting it into practical implementation plans with measurable outcomes
• You possess a strong understanding of AI and emerging technologies, with experience translating these capabilities into business value
• You have a proven track record leading large, cross-functional strategic initiatives in complex, international environments
• You bring experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries, which is strongly preferred
• You demonstrate exceptional executive presence, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills across functions and geographies
• You have strong strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear choices and recommendations
• You are a purpose-driven, collaborative, inclusive, and resilient leader with a bias toward action and measurable impact
