Bayer Pharmaceuticals is shaping the future of AI in healthcare by building and executing an AI agenda across the Pharmaceuticals division. The Senior Director AI Catalyst leads strategic, cross-functional initiatives, translating AI ambition into practical roadmaps, governance, and measurable value.

You will drive adoption, coordinate stakeholders, and foster responsible, transparent AI within a highly regulated environment, ensuring ethical, secure, and compliant use cases across productivity

Qualifications

• Significant experience in AI, digital transformation, data and analytics, innovation, strategy, consulting, or related roles.
• Experience supporting or leading cross-functional strategic, digital, AI, or transformation initiatives in complex organizations.
• Experience in AI use-case development, digital-product delivery, process redesign, workflow transformation, change management, or value realization.
• Ability to develop business cases, roadmaps, KPIs, adoption measures, or value-tracking approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support development and evolution of the Pharmaceuticals AI agenda and roadmap aligned with divisional priorities.
• Translate AI ambition into practical initiatives, workplans, milestones, ownership models, resource requirements, and value measures.
• Coordinate identification, assessment, prioritization, and sequencing of AI use cases across Pharmaceuticals with transparent portfolio status.
• Partner with business owners to clarify use-case objectives, accountabilities, business cases, implementation needs, and success measures.
• Lead structured working sessions to redesign high-value workflows, processes, and domains where AI can improve performance.
• Build and maintain a connected network of AI frontrunners, business owners, and enabling functions to share learning and scale practices.
• Drive AI deployment and adoption by coordinating stakeholder engagement, change management, and capability-building.
• Support alignment with Bayer Group AI governance, strategy, platforms, standards, investments, translating Group direction into Pharma implications.

WHO YOU ARE

• You bring significant experience in AI, digital transformation, data and analytics, innovation, strategy, consulting, technology-enabled business transformation, or related roles
• You demonstrate experience supporting or leading cross-functional strategic, digital, AI, or transformation initiatives in complex organizations
• You have experience in AI use-case development, digital-product delivery, process redesign, workflow transformation, change management, or value realization
• You show strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, translating ambiguous challenges into practical actions and recommendations
• You are able to assess AI opportunities across individual productivity, workflow transformation, and business-model or value-chain innovation
• You have experience developing business cases, implementation roadmaps, KPIs, adoption measures, or value-tracking approaches
• You excel at stakeholder management and communication across functions, geographies, and seniority levels, including executive-ready materials and workshop facilitation
• You preferably bring experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, healthcare, or another highly regulated environment, with a strong commitment to ethical, responsible, transparent, secure, compliant, and human-centered AI

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You support the development and continuous evolution of the Pharmaceuticals AI agenda and roadmap in line with divisional priorities and Bayer Group AI direction
• You translate AI ambition into practical initiatives, workplans, milestones, ownership models, resource requirements, and value measures across deploy, re-shape, and invent layers
• You coordinate identification, assessment, prioritization, and sequencing of AI use cases across Pharmaceuticals, ensuring a transparent view of portfolio status, dependencies, risks, and value realization
• You partner with business owners to clarify use‑case objectives, accountabilities, business cases, implementation needs, and success measures
• You facilitate workflow re‑imagination by leading structured working sessions to redesign high‑value workflows, processes, and business domains where AI can materially improve performance
• You build and maintain a connected network of AI frontrunners, business owners, functional experts, product teams, customer teams, and enabling functions to share learning and scale successful practices
• You drive AI deployment and adoption by coordinating stakeholder engagement, change management, communication, and capability‑building, including AI literacy and responsible AI understanding
• You support alignment with Bayer Group AI governance, strategy, platforms, standards, investments, and capability‑building, translating Group direction into implications and opportunities for Pharmaceuticals

• We ensure your financial stability with a competitive salary between 129.700€ and 163.800€ per year (full-time) plus a variable component and a global equity-based cash plan. Your compensation is based on your qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
