Vice President of Supply Chain Management
The Vice President of Supply Chain Management will be responsible for recommending improvements in all purchasing, inventory, planning, and logistics for an EMS provider.
- Recommend improvement opportunities for purchasing, inventory, planning, and logistics.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies within the supply chain.
- Create procurement metrics and implement purchasing policies and best practices.
- Coordinate business relationships and agreements with major suppliers.
- Provide critical assessment of operational supply chain performance and processes.
- Develop and institutionalize a global procurement strategy.
- Work proactively to drive cost savings within the Supply Chain.
- Plan and manage resources through cross-functional processes.
- Coordinate logistics agreements with major suppliers.
- Maximize delivery cycles from the supply base.
- Align purchasing and inventory practices with sales/customer needs.
- Establish a Supplier Performance Program and Supplier Qualification procedures.
- Negotiate vendor agreements and manage inventories.
Education & Experience Required:
- Skilled in negotiations, supplier selection, and purchases control.
- Strong production planning and inventory management skills.
- Experience in strategic planning, supplier relations, sourcing, and production planning.
- Proficiency in logistics, material management systems, e-commerce, and strategic sourcing.
- Logistics and warehousing experience.
- 5+ years of supply chain management in electronics manufacturing.
- Experience in EMS or defense electronics is preferred.
- Experience with implementing ERP systems is helpful.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA, CPIM, or CPM is a plus.
