With an expanding portfolio of next-generation devices, we are seeking an experienced Market Access leader to drive reimbursement, pricing, and health economics strategies across the DACH region.

Position Summary

The Vice President of Market Access will be responsible for defining and executing the regional strategy to secure optimal reimbursement, pricing, and market entry for our cardiovascular portfolio in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This senior leader will work closely with health authorities, payers, and clinical stakeholders to ensure early adoption and long-term access for our innovative therapies.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the DACH healthcare systems, strong payer relationships, and a proven track record in bringing high-value interventional medical devices to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement market access, reimbursement, and pricing strategies tailored to the DACH region for all current and pipeline products.
  • Lead Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions and negotiations with statutory health insurers, hospital associations, and government bodies.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to generate compelling clinical and health economic evidence to support reimbursement dossiers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in payer organizations, HTA agencies, and hospital procurement groups.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to align market access strategies with sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee the development of value dossiers, budget impact models, and health economic publications.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry codes, and company policies.
  • Represent the company at payer meetings, healthcare policy forums, and industry associations.
  • Provide strategic input to global market access teams on evolving policy and reimbursement landscapes in the DACH region.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in health economics, public health, business, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in market access, reimbursement, or health economics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven success securing reimbursement for Class III cardiovascular or interventional devices in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Deep understanding of the DACH healthcare systems, payer decision-making processes, and hospital funding models.
  • Strong network within payer and policy-making communities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in German and English (additional languages a plus).
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region (approx. 40%).
