As the leader for the Controls and Software Strategic Business Unit (SBU), the Vice President is responsible for targeting, encouraging, and maintaining a market leadership position from a global perspective. They will lead across all regions to establish our C&S brands as the primary supplier within targeted industry segments. Through strategy setting, team leadership, market analysis, business and product development programs, pricing strategies, and portfolio management, the Vice President will oversee the SBU’s overall business strategy, which will play a critical role in our financial performance.

This position will be based in Modena, Italy, or Augsburg, Germany. We welcome applications from anyone willing to relocate to either location.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
  • Generate and implement targeted, measurable growth plans through product and service solutions.
  • Mentor teams on marketing methods for specific segments and regions, including messaging.
  • Lead strategic growth and profitability initiatives representing the C&S portfolio.
  • Participate in project and account planning and execution.
  • Evaluate market dynamics such as segment growth, opportunities, and trends impacting performance.
  • Manage C&S’s pricing strategy, aiming for annual price increases.
  • Assess opportunities based on market potential, customer feedback, and ROI.
  • Evaluate markets and opportunities outside current areas based on unmet needs and segmentation.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications to generate collateral for sales support.
  • Develop processes to evaluate product portfolio for growth and margins, including expansions or obsolescence.
  • Identify product gaps and white space opportunities, proposing development initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally to evaluate and prioritize new product and solution opportunities.
  • Maintain a portfolio management rhythm, overseeing product performance and lifecycle planning.
  • Ensure effective training tools and materials are utilized by customer-facing personnel.
  • Share successes across regions, coordinating campaigns to leverage wins.
  • Lead and manage teams aligned with our Vision and Mission, including communication, training, mentoring, and performance management.

For This Role, You Will Need :
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Relevant experience in sales, marketing, industrial hardware/software, or industry strategy at a senior level.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in analytics, project management, and communication.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart :
  • 12+ years of sales/marketing experience.
  • 8+ years in the industrial hardware/software industry.
  • 4+ years in management or industry strategy roles.
  • Advanced degree in Marketing or Business.
  • Experience leading teams and in B2B marketing.
  • Experience with PAC/PLC applications and services.
  • Ability to influence in a global, multicultural environment.
