Your Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing all administrative and academic activities of UG/PG programmes offered by the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics, including current and future structures.
- Assist in managing the scheduling of didactic activities and assignment of teaching modules to professors.
- Teach 200 hours per academic year of assigned modules, aligned with the curriculum and institutional needs.
- Assist in ensuring proper administration, proctoring, and grading of student assignments and exams, adhering to regulations.
- Monitor student performance and retention rates.
- Assist in amending, designing, and developing new curricula or modules as needed.
- Update syllabi as required.
- Supervise up to 10 doctoral students annually.
- Provide academic and professional mentoring to students and lecturers.
- Create assignment briefs and exam papers when necessary.
- Cover teaching duties in emergency situations.
- Use positive reinforcement techniques to motivate and build student confidence.
- Schedule mentoring sessions with professors.
- Assist in monitoring faculty performance, including freelancers, and prepare evaluation reports.
- Assist in assessing faculty KPIs.
- Propose new faculty members for teaching roles and conduct interviews.
- Organize the academic environment to promote productivity and learning.
- Coordinate training sessions to enhance tutoring practices and introduce new techniques to professors.
- Communicate effectively with faculty and students to foster a passion for learning.
- Oversee records of student assessments, progress, and feedback, maintaining confidentiality.
- Guide professors in preparing lesson plans and tutoring sessions aligned with program goals.
- Design engaging teaching materials to enrich student experience.
- Develop content, both written and recorded, as directed by senior academic leadership.
- Research and recommend textbooks, software, and other learning materials.
- Identify and implement intervention strategies and individualized education plans for students.
- Perform routine tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork related to duties.
- Provide feedback to students on their progress as needed.
- Actively promote the School and Faculty.
- Contribute to research activities within the School.
- Participate in school activities, including extracurricular events, as required.
- Work closely under the supervision of senior academic leaders.
Your profile
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES- PhD or equivalent in business or management.
- Postdoctoral research in IT, computer science, or informatics (desirable).
- Knowledge of data analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI using Python and R.
- Experience with visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
- Experience with Big Data analytics and Hadoop clusters.
- Proficiency in Database Management Systems, including MySQL.
- Knowledge of Data Warehouses.
- Experience with programming in C and C++.
- Experience with CAD/CAM and other design and simulation software.
- Exposure to robotics, mechatronics, and simulation techniques.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience at the university level.
- At least 3 years in a similar academic leadership position.
- At least 3 years of experience in the international business sector outside Germany.
- Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams.
- Significant publication record, including books and citations.
- Fluent in English (C2 level); knowledge of at least two additional languages.
- Familiarity with educational platforms like Canvas or Blackboard.
- Knowledge of study regulations and rules.
