Qualifikationen

Vice Dean for the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration - BSBI Berlin (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing all administrative and academic activities of UG/PG programmes offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, including current and future structures.
  • Assist in managing the scheduling of didactic activities and assignment of teaching modules to professors.
  • Teach 200 hours per academic year of assigned modules according to curriculum needs.
  • Ensure proper administration, proctoring, and grading of student assignments and exams, adhering to regulations.
  • Monitor student performance and retention rates.
  • Amend, design, or develop new curricula or modules as needed.
  • Update syllabi as required.
  • Supervise up to 10 doctoral students annually.
  • Provide consultation and mentoring to students and lecturers; create assignment briefs and exam papers if needed.
  • Cover teaching duties in emergencies.
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to motivate and build students' confidence.
  • Schedule mentoring sessions with lecturers.
  • Monitor faculty performance, including freelancers, and prepare evaluation reports.
  • Assist in assessing KPIs for faculty staff.
  • Propose new faculty members for teaching positions and conduct interviews.
  • Organize the academic environment to promote productivity and learning.
  • Coordinate training sessions to enhance tutoring practices and introduce new techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with faculty and students to foster a passion for learning.
  • Oversee records of student assessments, progress, and feedback, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Guide lecturers in preparing lesson plans and tutoring sessions aligned with program goals.
  • Design engaging teaching materials to enhance student experience.
  • Develop content, both written and recorded, as directed by the Provost or Dean.
  • Research or recommend textbooks, software, and learning materials.
  • Develop intervention strategies and individualized education plans for students.
  • Perform routine tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork.
  • Provide feedback on student progress as needed.
  • Actively promote the School and Faculty.
  • Contribute to research activities of the School.
  • Participate in school activities, including extracurriculars, as required.
  • Work closely under the guidance of the Provost and Dean.
Your profile

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
• PhD or equivalent in business or management.
• Postdoctoral research in relevant domains (desirable).
• At least 5 years of university teaching experience.
• At least 3 years in a similar academic leadership role.
• 3+ years in an executive role within the international business sector.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams.
• Significant scientific publications, citations, and at least three books.
• Fluent in English (C2 level).
• Knowledge of at least two foreign languages.
• Familiarity with educational platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
• Knowledge of study regulations and rules.
