Job Title: Vessel Manager

Who are we recruiting for?
We're working with a globally recognised ship management firm with a strong foothold in the bulk carrier segment. With 19 vessels under management and major growth ahead, the team is looking to onboard a Junior Vessel Manager to alleviate workload and support new fleet additions. You'll join a high-performing, international team reporting to the Fleet Manager and supporting 4 vessels.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee the technical operations for 4 bulk carriers, including planned maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Travel for vessel inspections, dry-dockings, audits, and repair projects. (10-15 weeks travel per year)
  • Manage spare parts procurement, budgets, and technical documentation using paperless systems.
  • Liaise directly with senior technical management and clients, ensuring compliance with owner-specific reporting standards.
  • Support incident investigations, survey cycles, and statutory compliance tasks.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Holds a 2nd or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC).
  • Experience onboard or managing bulk carriers is essential.
  • Technically proficient with strong IT and reporting system skills - able to adapt to a digital office.
