Zusammenfassung

countX, the VAT Operations team within our Berlin/Bochum hybrid setup, is seeking an associate to manage VAT data and reporting across EU markets. You will handle OSS and local VAT filings, Intrastat, and contribute to process improvements with a pragmatic, data-driven mindset.

Requirements include at least 2 years in VAT reporting or EU compliance, advanced Excel skills, and strong English communication. This role offers hybrid work with flexible remote options.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of experience in VAT reporting, EU VAT compliance, OSS reporting or related field.
• Very strong Excel skills, comfortable with large data sets, formulas and pivot tables.
• Solid understanding of EU VAT processes, OSS procedures and VAT filing requirements.
• Clear, proactive communicator in English; additional EU languages are a plus.

Your mission

As part of our VAT Operations team at countX, you will:

• Prepare, validate, and clean e-commerce data (e.g., Amazon, ERP, invoicing tools)
• Manage and execute VAT reporting across EU countries, including OSS, local VAT returns, and VAT registrations
• Assist with Intrastat reporting and related filings
• Support process improvements and contribute to reliable, high-quality compliance deliverables
• Work closely with both internal teams and external partners on VAT-related operational tasks

Your profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in VAT reporting, EU VAT compliance, OSS reporting, or a closely related field
• Very strong Excel skills— you’re comfortable working with large data sets, formulas, pivot tables, and logical problem solving
• Solid understanding of EU VAT processes, OSS procedures, and VAT filing requirements
• Logical thinker with a structured & proactive approach to workConfident communicator in English (additional EU languages are a plus)
