Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an MBSE Systems Engineer for a VIE assignment in Germany. You will structure, develop, and maintain SysML models for complex aerospace systems, transforming requirements into model-based representations and delivering detailed MBSE views to stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on MBSE experience, knowledge of SysML/UML, CAMEO, IBM DOORS, and English fluency with intermediate German, plus a relevant engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Eligible to the V.I.E Contract
• Relevant experience in systems engineering for complex, safety-critical systems
• Knowledge of ARP4754A/B for DAL A avionics/IMA platforms
• Hands-on experience with MBSE and SysML/UML modelling tools

• Structure, develop, and maintain MBSE system models for complex aerospace systems
• Transform requirements, specifications, and technical documentation into SysML models
• Ensure the consistency, quality, and traceability of system models
• Create and prepare model-based views and deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with experts in hardware, software, electronics, and avionics engineering

Qualifications

• Eligible to the V.I.E Contract
• Hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• have relevant experience in systems engineering for complex, safety-critical systems
• possess solid knowledge of aerospace development processes according to ARP4754A/B, ideally within the context of DAL A avionics and IMA platforms
• have hands-on experience with CAMEO Systems Modeler, SysML/UML, and IBM DOORS
• Work in a structured and analytical manner and enjoy collaborating in interdisciplinary teams
• Know the English language fluently, and intermediate German skills
