Job summary

Groupe ALTEN is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to join its AIT workflow in Germany. You will prepare tests for electrical and mechanical subsystems, set up test equipment, run campaigns, and document results in line with project standards.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and system engineers, develop procedures, perform analyses of deviations, and support root‑cause investigations. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
• Initial practical experience in testing (test execution, test setups, early-stage procedures or validation).
• Experience in AIT.
• Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented testing mindset.
• Comfortable working hands-on and digitally (documentation, procedure writing).
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus and a collaborative approach.

• Eligible to the VIE contract
• have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
• have initial practical experience in testing (e.g., test execution, test setups, early-stage procedures or validation)
• have experience in AIT
• have a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented testing mindset
• are comfortable working both hands‑on and digitally (documentation, procedure writing)
• are neither purely manufacturing-focused nor purely software-focused — you enjoy combining hardware proximity with systematic testing
• have strong communication skills in English, German is a plus and a collaborative approach
