The Product Design Team in Berlin is seeking an experienced UX Designer to define the end-to-end experience for one of our product categories. You will have a great opportunity to solve complex problems related to modern-day Cloud systems and to closely cooperate with industry experts who helped build Nutanix from a startup to a leader in Hybrid-Cloud solutions.

About the Team

The Nutanix Product Design team is responsible for defining the user experience across all Nutanix products, spread across three major geographies. We are part of the larger R&D organization, working in a setting that requires understanding customer needs and assisting our development teams in building and improving products. We collaborate regularly with Software Engineering, Product Managers, and various business units to solve challenges end-to-end. Customer-centric design is embedded into every step of our product cycle. Nutanix's design-first philosophy combines consumer-grade design with web-scale engineering to create seamless user experiences.

Your Role

• Create industry-leading UX/UI designs for our enterprise software suite
• Plan and conduct customer research to identify user needs and validate design concepts
• Define the experience vision aligned with the company's strategy
• Collaborate with PMs and engineering leads to formulate product requirements and user stories
• Utilize our internal design system and work with other designers across geographies to enhance UX patterns
• Present concepts to team members, stakeholders, and leadership
• Provide feedback to other designers on developed concepts
• Drive stakeholder alignment across the organization
• Develop expertise in at least one product domain and build a strong reputation within the company
• Share your work and experience regularly with the team

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years of UX design experience for enterprise software or web applications, with a bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design, fine art, computer science, or a related field
• Passion for design, data visualization, storytelling, and simplifying complex problems
• Proficiency with wireframing, design, and prototyping tools
• Ability to understand medium to high complexity challenges and create simple, elegant user experiences
• Experience designing and executing research studies within design exercises
• Skill in translating research insights into design solutions
• Capability to manage multiple design activities simultaneously
• Understanding of design processes and development workflows
• Advanced skills in delivering comprehensive UX concepts, flows, and wireframes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus
