Mission & Vision

As a User Researcher at Xayn, you’ll build and scale our user research practice. Your insights will shape our Legal AI product, ensuring we understand our users and solve real-world legal challenges. This strategic, hands-on role suits someone thriving in a fast environment and eager to make a lasting impact on legal professionals’ workflows.

Your Team

You will collaborate with cross-functional product teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers. The team comprises 6-7 developers, a product manager, and a designer, whom you will support with customer insights and validation of designs.

Your Hiring Manager

You will report to Ruth, Chief Product Officer at Xayn, who leads product and design strategy for Noxtua. Ruth has extensive experience in product management and user-centric design, fostering a collaborative, agile environment that values user feedback, accessibility, and innovation.

Your Responsibilities

• Establish and lead user research operations, including processes, documentation standards, and participant panels.
• Design, plan, and conduct qualitative research studies such as interviews, observations, and diary studies.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, and legal experts to validate product ideas and improve UX.
• Build and maintain a research insights database for accessible, actionable knowledge.
• Create personas, customer journeys, and other research artifacts.
• Integrate user insights into product development and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Define strategic directions for our Legal AI by understanding user needs.

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of experience as a User Researcher, preferably in B2B SaaS or regulated industries like FinTech or Legal Tech.
• Proven experience conducting independent research from scoping to communication.
• Strong command of qualitative methods such as interviews, diary studies, and usability testing.
• Experience building research operations and knowledge management systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• High self-organization and proactive research initiative drive.
• Working hours: Flexible, full-time (32-40h/week).
• Vacation: 26 days + December 24th & 31st off.
• Remote: 100% remote possible with German residence; other countries upon request.
