Qualifikationen

The Fraunhofer Research Institution for Additive Production Technologies IAPT in Hamburg Bergedorf is one of the leading institutions for the industrialization of additive production. We focus primarily on socially relevant sectors such as life sciences, energy, mobility and security. Our research ranges from component design and processes to factory planning and digitalization: we look at the entire production route. Numerous spin-offs and patent applications underline the value of our innovations.

In our three departments “Virtualization”, “Process Chain Automation” and “Process Qualification”, we are working on our mission to industrialize additive production and thus make the products of the future resource- and energy-efficient. What you will do

  • Project processing and management of research and industrial projects
  • Acquisition of publicly funded research projects and industrial development projects
  • Presentation of R&D activities at conferences, on committees and with project partners
  • Publication of research results in scientific journals and conferences
  • Supervision of research assistants, Bachelor's and/or Master's theses

What you bring to the table

  • Completed scientific university degree (Master's or university diploma) with or without a doctorate in mechanical engineering, engineering sciences, mechatronics or a related field of study. Ideally initial experience in the scientific project business or in a research-related environment
  • Open and curious personality with analytical skills and an independent, goal-oriented way of working
  • Confident knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Depending on the position, willingness to travel for one day and occasionally several days on national and international business trips

Appointment, remuneration and social security benefits based on the public-sector collective wage agreement (TVöD). The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
