The Baker Hughes internship is designed to enable students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships provide first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

Partner with the best

You’ll participate in focused training, team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager to ensure a valuable learning experience. You can expect coaching and mentoring to help you complete assignments and develop your skills.

You will also have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with Baker Hughes' Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture, as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The internship is intended to enable Bachelor's or Master's students to gain practical work experience and can serve as a starting point for a future career, depending on performance. The duration should be 3-6 months.

As an intern, you will be responsible for:

• Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements
• Learning internal software to assist with projects and tasks
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders
• Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and procedures to ensure compliance

Fuel your passion

We are regularly looking for students (m/f/d) in the fields of:

• Geology
• Geosciences
• Geophysics
• Other related study programs

for internships and final theses. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

• Petrophysics
• Geothermal
• Modelling & Simulation
• Algorithm Development
• Data Processing and Interpretation

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Active enrollment in a relevant degree program
• Spatial imagination, technical understanding, analytical thinking, willingness to learn, interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and contribute
• Problem-solving skills and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of C/C++, Matlab, Python is an advantage
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus
• Availability for at least 3 months, with an earliest start date as soon as possible
